.MP4 import a feature in the near future?

I hate to say it, but I'm pretty disappointed in the product so far. It's feeling rushed to market and less robust than prior advertising has led me to believe.

The most striking issue I've had so far is that you do not allow input of .MP4 files -- including files that you created using Badaboom in the first place. Badaboom OUTPUTS to .MP4, so why the lack of an input filter? I had created a video using Badaboom and it was too large for my memory card, so I wanted to take the video file and simply re-size it using Badaboom. However, since Badaboom does NOT import .MP4 files, I would now have to do an entirely new transcode (and guesstimate the right settings, since the file size tooltip is bugged--see my post in the Bug forum.) Please tell me this is something you are working on implementing soon.

FYI, I purchased the full version the minute it was released, after having used Beta 1, and I'm regretting it. There is a notable lack of features, leading me to believe Elemental is pushing this product to market by removing a lot of the initial, intended functionality. Though significantly slower and without GPU support, Handbrake at least does what I wanted Badaboom to do, and for free.

Re: .MP4 import a feature in the near future?

Inputting .MP4 files will be included in a version in the future.  Badaboom will have features continually rolled out as they become developed so that you can keep upgrading your version of Badaboom.
